Dear colleagues,

The Society for Advancing the History of South Asia will hold its
informal/unofficial business meeting of the year at the Madison South Asia
Conference later this week. All members, and soon-to-be members, are
encouraged to attend.

The meeting will take place Friday, October 12, 2012. We are scheduled for
12:15-1:45 p.m. in Parlor Room 638 of the Madison Concourse Hotel. We will
NOT be serving any lunch (box lunches are expensive and not terribly good
value for money) and so you are encouraged to bring something to eat.
Alternatively, we will not meet for the full 90 minutes and so there should
also be time to eat afterwards.

The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

1. Structures of Governance and Election Cycles
2. Call for Nominations to Vice-President; Treasurer; Executive Committee
3. Dues Structure / Help with Non-Profit Status Filing
4. New Website Review
5. Preview of the AHA-SAHSA conference
6. Any other business.

Thank you, and we hope to see you at Madison this week.

Michael S. Dodson, SAHSA President
Anne Hardgrove, SAHSA Vice-President
