Dear SAHSA Members:

I am writing about two new posts that have been made on our website.

The first posting pertains to an open business meeting that SAHSA will hold
the morning of October 22nd from 7am to 8am at the Annual South Asia
Conference in Madison, Wisconsin. Please feel free to invite colleagues who
are not yet members but who you feel are 'historically minded'.

Breakfast (coffee/tea, bagels/pastry, yogurt, fruit, and juice) will be
available for a minimum donation of $10. If you are interested in having
breakfast available to you, please let me know no later than Thursday October
13, 2011 (ltrivedi@hamilton.edu [1]). The precise location and agenda for the
meeting will be available a week before the conference.

The second posting announces that nominations for the position of Vice
President, 2012-13 and President, 2013-14 are now open. We are soliciting
volunteers who can recommend someone or who are willing to serve the
organization next year. The successful candidate will assume the Presidency
of the organization in 2013-14. In order to appear on the ballot, I will need
a current CV and a 250-word statement of goals for the organization.
Nominations will be accepted through Sunday, October 23rd. Elections will be
held the week of October 26-November 3rd.

Nominations and questions should be addressed to me at (ltrivedi@hamilton.edu
[2]).

Best, Lisa Trivedi, President, SAHSA 2011-12
